Newton Abbot A.C. held their Annual Awards evening and AGM on Friday 21st November at the Abbrook Sports and Social club.

The President and Chairman both thanked the club's Coaches and Officers for another year of support and work in keeping the club to the fore.  They also thanked the athletes for their hard work and support given to the club in all the different events participated in throughout the year.

The big news for the club is that the Government Inspector has given approval of the Sporting complex to be built at New cross Kingsteignton which along with cycling and gymnastics facilities includes an All weather track and stadium and although the proposed housing development has been refused, it is hoped that all parties can resolve the issues and bring to the community of South Devon this much needed Sporting complex.

The current Chairman Irene Knight and her husband David Knight have both after many years service have stood down as Chairman and a committee member and both were thanked for their hard work of being committe members, coaches, and officials with presentations made in thanks for their services.
